Ibrahim Uwais, son of a former
Chief Justice of the Federation, Mohammed Uwais, who joined the Islamic terror
group, Islamic State of Iraq and Syria was reportedly killed near Aleppo, in
Syria. He died after an airstrike was
carried out by the United States targeting known ISIS camps, according to a
report by Sahara Reporters.
Ibrahim Uwais had allegedly
departed Nigeria and joined ISIS early in 2015, causing security agencies to
begin investigations to uncover the identities of Nigerians, who might have
joined the terrorist group.
