President Barack Obama arrives in Cuba on Sunday afternoon,
the first sitting U.S president to visit the island in 88 years. Obama’s
whirlwind visit aims to lock in key aspects of his historic overtures to the
socialist-run country, deepening U.S.-Cuba economic relations and sending the
message that Raúl Castro’s government must embrace democratic reforms.
Obama, first lady Michelle Obama, and their daughters, Sasha
and Malia, have a packed schedule of culture, political and economic events –
as well as some old-fashioned sightseeing.
